These custom jackets were designed originally for an assignment in my Advertising Design class called Identity Alchemy. The assignment was to take a celebrity we liked and create a product that best fit their character along with representing their body of work. The celebrity I chose was voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch, best known for many voice roles in a multitude of anime, video games, amongst other media.
I wanted all the designs of each jacket to pay homage to Johnny's body of work, so I combined bits and pieces from some of his most popular characters to craft each jacket.
As an additional part of the assignment, I made these illustrative posters.
For the posters, I decided to design an original character who embodied aspects of Johnny Yong Bosch's characters. The final design took design elements from the characters Ichigo from Bleach, Nero from Devil May Cry, and Vash The Stampede from Trigun.
